Your preferences and default settings

A few minutes in your preferences can save you a lot of clicks later. Set your defaults once — the language and condition you add cards with, the currency you see prices in, how your inventory is laid out — and CardNexus applies them everywhere. You'll find everything under Settings → Preferences.

Inventory

The Inventory page of your preferences has two parts.

Default values when you add a card to your inventory

Choose the Language and Condition that get pre-filled whenever you add a card. Out of the box these are English and Near Mint. If most of your collection is, say, Japanese Near Mint, set that here and every quick search, import, and add flow starts with those values already filled in — you only adjust the exceptions.

Changes save automatically — there's no save button to hunt for.

How your inventory is displayed

This section controls how your inventory page looks:

• Layout — grid or list

• Items per page — how many cards show at once

• Sort by and the sort direction

• Zoom — the size of card images in the grid

There's also a Reset option to go back to the standard display. These display choices follow your account, so your inventory looks the same on every device you sign in from.

Prices

The Prices page lets you pick:

• Your display currency — the currency prices are shown in across CardNexus.

• Your reference marketplace — the source used for market prices.

Changing the reference marketplace updates the suggested prices you see throughout your inventory and lists. If you mostly sell in one region, pick the marketplace your buyers actually use so your suggested prices match reality.

Lists

The Lists page sets the defaults used when you add products to a list: the default language and the minimum condition. These are separate from your inventory defaults — useful if, for example, you collect in any condition but only want Near Mint cards counting toward your lists.

Games

The Games page is where you choose your preferred games. This keeps the games you actually play front and center across the site instead of scrolling past ones you never touch.

Changing defaults mid-import

You don't have to leave an import to adjust your defaults. Inside a bulk import, open the Default input settings dialog to change the default language and condition on the spot. This is handy when a particular batch differs from your usual — importing a box of German Lightly Played cards, for instance, when your everyday default is English Near Mint. Set the defaults for that batch, import, and your account-wide preferences stay whatever you set in Settings → Preferences.

Good to know

• Defaults are just starting points — you can always change the language or condition of any individual card while adding it, or fix it afterwards with Change language and Change condition.

• Your display settings (layout, zoom, sort) only affect how you see your inventory — visitors browsing your marketplace items aren't affected.
